Refund policy

Returns

We operate a 30‑day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received — unused, unworn, with any tags attached, and in the original packaging. You must also provide proof of purchase.

Items returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted.

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item. Where applicable, a return shipping label may be provided.


Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon receipt and notify us as soon as reasonably possible if your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.

Where an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, your statutory rights under UK consumer law apply. We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with those rights.


Non‑Returnable Items

Certain items are not eligible for return, including:

  • Custom or personalised items
  • Special or made-to-order products
  • Perishable goods
  • Personal care items
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
  • Gift cards
  • Sale or clearance items

If you are unsure whether an item is eligible for return, please contact us before placing your order.


Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. The quickest way to receive a replacement item is to return the original item (subject to approval) and place a new order once the return has been accepted.


European Union Cooling‑Off Period

If your order is shipped to an address within the European Union, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt, without providing a reason.

To exercise this right, items must be returned in the same condition as received — unused, unworn, with tags attached, and in the original packaging — along with proof of purchase.

This right does not apply to custom or personalised items.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or payment provider to process and display the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you have not received it, please contact us at sales@bluelightgift.org.uk.
